Welcome to Direct English Online UNIT 28

In Unit 28, the Conversation section consists of a video and dialogs which present and develop the video drama storyline. The purpose of the dialogs is to introduce the new language forms you will be learning and enable you to experience real English in real situations and explanations of any new language items are provided in easily recognisable drop down boxes.

You will find that a systematic and methodical approach to your study will maximize your ability to understand and utilize the new language.

The Language Study and Practice section gives you the opportunity to practice the language from the Conversation or Presentation section in new contexts. Clear instructions and guides are given to help explain what to do and Language Notes give you detailed information about grammar and usage.

• subject and object pronouns and their uses

• talking about any famous person you know about and admire
• arguing whether or not it’s nice to be famous
